What this blog is all about.....

My job is to show people around Australia and hopefully help them appreciate what we have here in Oz but there's a catch.....They must all have a good time.

We all have a great time on these tours. I always say it's what you make it and I often have people come up and say to me..."Ian. You've made this tour" but I've always said right throughout my career that it takes two or more to party. In other words, I can't do my job successfully unless all the passengers travelling along with me are here with the intention of enjoying themselves and having a great time.
Participation is a big part of it all. It makes the trip. Not just me. I'm just one of the participants!

Of course the site wouldn't be right without...

...G’Day G’Day

G'day G'day, how ya goin', what d'ya know, well strike a light
G'day G'day, and how ya go-o-o-in'
Just say g'day g'day g'day and you'll be right

Isn't great to be an Aussie
Takin' a walk along the street
Lookin' in shops or buyin' a paper
Stoppin' and havin' a yarn with people that you meet

Down at the pub or at a party
Whenever you're stuck for what to say
If you wanna be dinky-di, why don't you give it a try
Look 'em right in the eye and say G'day

G'day G'day, how ya goin', what d'ya know, well strike a light
G'day G'day, and how ya go-o-o-in'
Just say G'day G'day G'day and you'll be right

Now when Italians meet they all go crazy
The blokes all like to hug each other too
The Yanks invented "Hi" "and See you Later"
While the Pommy will shake your hand and say "how do you do"

Now watch out for a Frenchmen or he'll kiss you
The Spaniards go for "Olah" and "Olay"
But in the land of the cockatoo, pole cats and the didgeridoo
When you meet an Aussie ten-to-one here's what he'll say

G'day G'day, how ya goin', what d'ya know, well strike a light
G'day G'day, and how ya go-o-o-in'
Just say G'day G'day G'day and you'll be right

It's a greeting that you'll hear across Australia
From Geraldton to Goulburn, Gundagai
It's as dinkum as the Dingo and the Dahlia
And you spell it with a G, apostrophe, a D-a-y

G'day G'day, how ya goin', what d'ya know, well strike a light
G'day G'day, and how ya go-o-o-in'
Just say G'day G'day G'day and you'll be right - repeat

Southern Discovery Tour - 20th September - 1st October 2006

Waiting for participants. If you were on this tour date...POST A COMMENT!!

Southern Discovery Tour - 11th October - 22nd October 2006

Umm...What can I say about this tour except "BRILLIANT" If there was ever anyone on a tour I can say…”Made the Tour” this is her. Let me introduce Kerry. A real participator and what a laugh Kerry was. A real card. Kerry kept everyone entertained throughout the tour especially when it came to the lollies and even had me lost for words on occasions.

I remember when I told the group about the early start for day 6. Warranmbool to Wirrina Cove. urgh! I think it was the quietest I have seen Kerry..Until..We saw a Koala at Tower Hill.
Funny story here for this group. As most of you who travelled from Melbourne to Adelaide know. Day 6 is an early start as we visit Tower Hill. It was obvious that everyone was tired. As we were walking around Tower Hill, I was chatting to other passengers when someone noticed a Koala up in the trees. I looked around and there sitting in a tree no more than a metre away was a Koala. I turned to observe and noticed everyone looking at a Koala at the top of the tree when I turned and said "What about this one in the tree right here?"Well...Talk about a highlight.
A note from Michael and Brenda who were travelling from the UK...Soz guys...{vt thing here..How's Endland?
...can you remember how early you got us up that day...
but it was worth it...
...could you have G'day on the blog to remind us of the song - we were lucky enough to buy a copy in Adelaide.
Michael and Brenda were referring to day 6. It is such a long day but we always survive don't we? By the way... Thanks guys you were great and sorry about the stuff up..
I will get G'Day G'Day on to the blog. I've just got to download it. Will be soon...Promise..
